This is an "anything that floats," jungle rules…FUN “race." We will not record times so look around and see where you finish for bragging rights. There are usually a lot of little races within the overall race. Everyone is a winner and door prize tickets will be given to everyone who registers, so stick around after the race for your chance to walk away with something from our sponsors.

This event is FREE and open to the public. Participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item and/or donation for Maui Food Bank, sliding scale based on your ability. Make checks payable to: Maui Food Bank

Date: November 28, 2019

Time: Registration 7 am, at Kihei Canoe Club

Registration: Pre -registration online is for credit card donations, to reserve your tshirt size (while supplies last) and sign electronic waivers for race participants. Participants who pre-register online, must check in at the registration desk prior to the race to verify signature of waiver, collect tshirt and door prize ticket. If you sign an electronic waiver form, a team leader may check in for the team, pick up tshirts and door prize tickets.
If you are donating via cash or check, you must register at the registration desk at 7am. All participants must sign event waiver.

Race start 8am. Door prizes and silent auction immediately after the race. Must be present to win door prizes!

Location: Kihei Canoe Club (Ka Lae Pohaku Beach Park)

Parking: Please park in the large grass lot across the street. Do not park in ABC Parking lot, Kihei Canoe Club or the Pier. Use the Pier for active loading/unloading of vessels.

Financial Donations: Checks payable to Maui Food Bank (Put “Paddle For Hunger” in Note Section) or via pay pal on the registration form at PaddleForHunger.com

Food Donations: Canned Meat and Tuna, Canned Fruits and Vegetables, Canned Meal and Soups with Protein, Cereal, Rice, Pasta. Drop items in the back of designated trucks in front of Kihei Canoe Club.

Door Prizes: Every participant will be given a ticket at registration. Prize giveaways will begin immediately after the race finish. Must be present to win!!!

Race Course: Kihei Canoe Club to Turn Buoy at Kelia Pond River Mouth/Pavillion and back to Pier. Short Course: Turn early…. anywhere, No Shame.

Vessels: Outrigger Canoes (OC 1-6), V1, Surfski, Stand Up Paddle Board, Prone Paddle Board… or anything else that floats. All participants must have their own vessel. Please be respectful of our water safety team. If your vessel is slower than everyone else’s please take the ‘short course’ and turn early. Its Thanksgiving Day and we want everyone to be able to get home to their families. Mahalo
